 | English Betapet hi admins... as you all have closed the english site with no warning or anything.... a lot of people are still wondering what has happened.... i have been contacted by quite a few asking me to ask you why the site was close... i have been trying to answer some already but others stills sending me message. monk... you have posted a thread here explaining why the site was close but it is in swedish and i have been translating that to many... could you please post an explanation in english?... coz they been comin here trying to find out what has happened... thanks | |

| Translation of the information/message concerning the closing of www.betapet.com: Today we have reached the desicion to close down the english Betapet-site www.betapet.com. One of the reasons is that we don't have enough time and energy to maintain the site. Another reason is that the number of members isn't as big as we had hoped for. The desicion unfortunately affects the members of the site, but luckily there are other wordgame-sites on the internet. | |

 | hi i agree there is other sites but they are not very good in fact they are not in the same leauge as beta pet, Is there not a way round this that you can either add a english sawpods with the sweedish site which would increase the your members and a happy english members or reconcider your decission to close the site and allow volunteersl to run it for you | |

| I agree with Yob and all the others comments posted already. What can be done to bring it back and why werent we at least forwarned about the closing to begin with? This wasnt fair to all of us that enjoy going to the English side of Beta. I left another scrabble site to come to Beta because it was better and more online friends were coming there as well. I hope you will reconsider and reopen the Enlgish version of Beta and soon, before I have major withdrawals..... Rosee2004 | |

 | i am quite dissapointed at the manner the site was just closed down with no warning, english betapet was the best scrabble site going and no other scrabble site comes even close. i too am having major withdrawals because that indian guy's snakepit at crappulous is total garbage :-( | |

| to talk to the people behind I recomend U to go into chat.efnet.info/irc....23 betapet. for a chat with someone. perhaps as you say you could take over or somthing. do it in the evening because they are usually att work during the days. | |

| Hi Odin and Monk whilst I understand that it took a lot of work to run a seperate English site would it not be possible to create a room for English speaking players on the Swedish site, I understand this was done in the past? This would allow the Swedish players to practice there English at the same time, I hope you give this serious consideration. I must add this is by far and away the best scrabble site on the net and like so many others I have made some very good friends with people from arround the world. Thankyou mike07007 and jewels. | |

| Hello to all my fellow scrabble players and friends, I agree with what everyone says here, and I think it should be a good idea to have an english version on here that way us english speaking players can learn from the swedish and the swedish can learn from us english speakers. so odin and/or monk I appriciated it if you can do something about it I miss chatting with friends on here on betepet. xoxoxo Virgo : ) | |

| Sorry I am not into brown nosing (saying artificial words to make what I say sweeter to read) it is what it is and I got this name just to post here. No you didn't have a lot of visitors and the biggest reasons were that the things that we all learned to do without there are what scrabbleplayers want..for example the ability to shuffle letters in the rack or to see the value of a word before enter was hit. Had those changes been made, the numbers would have grown tremendously. You all know I say what I see as the truth and I saw the closing of that site without any warning as beyond rude and showing total lack of respect for those of us that played there. At the very least you owed those of us that supported you a little respect. Yes there are other sites but those of us that stayed there stayed because it was a better site then the others out there. Yes I play at other sites but are they betapet..no..did what you do and the way u did it leave a rotten taste in my mouth yes. The least you can do is let us have a room here to play in. | |
