 | I received an e-mail from Jayant at Scrabulous the day before yesterday I believe it was. He said not to worry, they are in the court system with Mattel and they have good U.S. attorneys. I love Scrabulous and I offered to make a large donation. Jayant said they removed the donation button from the web site as they now accept advertising instead. I told him that Betapet had removed its English version and he is aware of that. Thought that might be an opportunity for them, in case they lose the fight against Hasbro/Mattel. So before I started calling different Scrabble web sites "nasty names", I'd be thankful for what we do have rather than what was lost. Betapet needed some things that Scrabulous has and vice versa. Nothing is perfect in this world. But I see making suggestions to Betapet apparently offended them! Careful what you ask for....you might lose it! Harmony1 | |

| That gamedesire - WordBox - reminds me of an old Tinker Toy set! If someone lands on a certain square, they take all your tiles! I had a bingo and was ready to go -and my opponent took all of my tiles. That site needs to come with a set of instructions! You're right, Dad, at the moment. But I'm sure Scrabulous is just down for maintenance; at least I hope so. My point was if those two brothers, Jayant and I forget his brother's name, are intelligent enough to attract more than 600,000 players to their site - and if (and I hope it doesn't happen) they are closed down, perhaps they would/could develop something similar to BetaPet. They've been watching as the events unfolded. They're working on a chess site now. There was a note on the site yesterday that they were doing some work on it. I'll send them an e-mail to see if it was court-ordered or maybe just down for maintenance. I'll let you know what I find out. Harmony1 (RandR here!) | |
